Assisted Living Locators was recommended to me by a social worker at a facility where a friend who I am medical PoA for was recovering, but the facility had no rooms for him to stay in their memory care.  We needed to find a place he’d be happy in short order, and had location constraints as well to keep him near friends.  There were also many unknowns about finances initially as we were working through a fiduciary company as his financial PoA. Sara jumped in, explained her background in several related areas of healthcare and asked numerous good questions to understand what the friend would appreciate.  She provided a curated list of 7 places that had rooms available that met the constraints.  Once I’d reviewed them, she answered questions and helped me pick two to visit to see if I thought they were a fit prior to bringing K. there for a visit.  Both were a good fit.  She helped arrange visits, K. loved the first place.  Sara was helpful and supported us through move-in.  Overall it was a great experience and I would be happy to work with Assisted Living Locators again!

I live out of state and had been calling around to at least a dozen places to check (immediate) availability and services, and was striking out. I was then referred to Sara Lynaugh who saved the day. After a conversation about our needs and preferences, she immediately suggested a few places that met all of our criteria but hadn't appeared when I was searching online. She clearly knows the facilities, their staffs, and  the red and green flags to be aware of. She quickly touched base with the facilities to ensure availability and then connected me the right person at the facility we thought was the best for him. Within 48 hours of speaking to her, I was coordinating the move into that assisted living. While he has just moved in, from what we can tell, it's exactly what we were looking for. She did a great job in providing 2 options in my area. Unfortunately, the facility I chose was Sara's second pick and I made my decision on what they were saying.  Due to the short timeframe I could not verify it and that ended up being my mistake.  So, interview tenants and staff before signing that lease!
